After the weekend

A productive weekend of demonstration – made some basket samples that I need for upcoming classes, met one of the instructors at the local watchmaking school, connected with some old friends, enjoyed good country and bluegrass music, licked my fingers after a delicious pulled pork bar-b-que and slaw sandwich, and furthered my tan line.

A pleasant enough two days. Just wish the park district could pull in more people for the event for all the effort they put into it.

I’ve spent the better portion of today going through and detailing my pictures from last week’s ORBS installation. I may have missed a description or two – will go through them again shortly to check – but I think you will have the most of the info. Enjoy!

Better yet, go see the ORBS in person at the Indianapolis Art Center sometime during the next two years! They will change with the season and time – should be fun to watch them.

The official opening of the installation will be Friday, September 14, 2007. I’ll be on the Outer Banks enjoying some previously planned surf and sand while Bonnie represents us. A Winter Walk-thru is being planned for Friday, February 15, 2008 to see the orbs without the interference of leaves – and maybe with a dusting of snow or ice, who knows! Possibly a mini orb-making workshop, too. Stay tuned!
